Protect Me! 2010 creates secure executable (.exe) container files to which you can add any files and directories you want to!
Your files will be stored securely inside the container file.
To ensure a maximum of security, Protect Me! 2010 uses SHA1 for password validation and AES for encryption.
The container file can either run or extract your files once you typed in the right password.
Key Features:
* Easily password-protect any file you want!
* You get one .exe file which contains the encrypted file(s)
o The result will be just a few KB bigger than the encrypted files themselves!
* Your data is really secure!
o SHA1 for password validation
o AES (Rijndael) for your data
* The container file is compiled at runtime!

Is it true that the current version of protect me doesn't support file larger than 4Gb?
I just tested it and yes, it is true. Seems like the .NET compiler used by CodeDOM limits the integreated resource file's size to 4GB.
wonderful app, want larger Gb's; index was outside the bounds of the array error when extracting to a diff folder...
Hey ;) Hm, there seems to be no way to integrate more than 4GB in the executable's resources. This means there is no way to have a container larger than 4gb which consists of just 1 file. It would be possible to have a decryption-executable and a separate encrypted container I guess... I'll try to fix this issue soon ;)
It would be perfect if we could run files inside the exe just with double click.
Ok, I added this suggestion to my list ;) Thanks
and also when we select the place where we want to extract file it would be great if we could just paste an adress in the adress bar in place of clicking through a labyrinth of folders.
k ;)
wow you are fast ^^
just a few steps and this software will become a legend, i'm sure :)
