Tweak Me! 1.0.1

About(English):

Tweak Me! Is a new unique Windows Tweaking Application which supports Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7! Never has it been so easy to tweak all
most used versions of Microsoft Windows using just one application. Tweak Me! has a modern user friendly GUI which makes it extremely easy for you to
manage the most important tweaks which save you a lot of time when setting up Windows!

Compared to other tweaking utilities, Tweak Me! contains mostly tweaks which don't just represent settings you can change using the ordinary Windows GUI. I spezialised on teaching it tweaks which are mainly not easy to achieve using Windows. Tweak Me! also differs between the operating system you use
and just offers you the tweaks which are supported by your current system!

Über(Deutsch):

  1. Will their be a win7 special edition?

  2. Hmm, how do you mean that? This version contains tweaks for XP, Vista and Windows 7... it automatically detects which OS you got and just shows you the right tweaks... so what would a special Windows 7 version be good for?

  3. It seems to be that the OS detection doesn't work. I tested it on a Win7 x64 Home Premium and Ultimate. In both cases TweakMe offers me tweaks for WinXP and in the statusbar stands "(all OS)". Should it not be "(Win7)"?

  4. Hey ;)

I'm running Windows 7 x64 over here. What makes you think that the OS detection does not work? Which XP-tweaks are you talking about in particular?

The text in the status bar is just for information purpose. It always shows the number of tweaks included in this application (for all OS).

  5. Wow, fast answer. Hi ;)

    for example:
"Remove Username from the Start Menu" (under "Windows").
The description says "Hide the current username at the top of the Windows XP Start Menu".
The default Win7 Start Menu doesn't show a Username, only an avatar. Maybe a typo mistake?

It would be really cool if you could include an additional information in the statusbar (or somewhere else) which OS was detected. Only to know that the OS is detected correctly. I really like the cleanness of your tool, but I'm a bit afraid to use it when it's offers me tweaks for another OS. I'm not that paranoia, but I don't want to use registry tweaks which seems to be for another OS.

  6. Hi! I will check that out. Thank you for reporting! Well I'm currently not sure how to enable the classic start menu on Windows 7, so i cannot test this tweak for Windows 7.

The OS-detection works 100% because it checks the build numbers of your OS:
    5.1 <- XP
    6.0 <- Vista
    6.1 <- Windows 7

However, nothing can go wrong if you apply a tweak which is meant for another OS... it just won't change anything.

I'll change the OS of that tweak though.

    Thank you

  7. Ah this tweak is intended for the classic start menu? So the description is a bit unclear ;)

Personally I would like to see the detected OS. But thats only a suggestion.

Und nichts zu danken für den Hinweis ;) Sollte ich noch was finden, meld ich mich.

  8. Yea it's meant for the classic start menu ;) I'm just not sure if that still exists on vista/windows 7 :D

ok i'll somehow integrate some information about the detected OS.

Oh, ein deutscher xD Hat sich wohl doch gelohnt das Programm auch auf deutsch zu releasen. Btw, Chip.de hat heute Tweak Me! aufgenommen! Ist sogar in den News :)

The lower length of program window unable to see. It does not move/see. Hence, the important option like Save/Exit are unable to use. Please make necessary correction and resize wondow to adjust according to screen so that ,ost user can take benefit of this usefull program. Thanks
