  5. It didn't work for me. I got an error message that said "Not Existing". Does this program have to be put in a particular directory or can be run frm any place?

    Thanks,

  6. This app is portable - it can be run from wherever you want. "Not Existing" means the registry keys containing the license information haven't been found. This should only be the case if there's currently no license / key in use.

  9. Very nice app. I got the Not Existing error too but then re-open Office that cleared the non-working key and let me put in a new valid one.

    Thanks!

  10. Why would I want to change the product key?

  11. Windows 7 enterprise and office 2010 professional plus. I received the "Not Existing" message but the defective key was removed. Great tool, much easier than hacking the registry!

  12. Nice to hear that it worked for you. To avoid the problem of "not existing" download the latest version ("Office Key Remover 1.0.0.2"). The bug has been fixed quite some time ago.

  16. Maybe you are running a Beta version? However, Office cannot legally run more than 6 months. Read the product description above ;)

  17. I did try to activate office 2010 home and business on laptop where office 2010 professional already exist.

I think this tool doesn't work for office 2010 prof. After running your tool if you go back again to MS word and click help it tells you both of the license are activated

  18. Open an administrative level command prompt. To do this click on start menu, type cmd, right click on the command prompt and select Run as administrator. Once the command prompt is opened, navigate to the Office installation folder. The folder varies for 32 bit and 64 bit versions. Based on the version installed, type the command in the prompt. For 32bit Office on 64bit OS type – “cd Program Files(x86)Microsoft OfficeOffice14” and for 32bit Office on 32bit OS and 64bit Office on 64bit OS type – “cd Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice14”.

This will naviagte you to the folder, now execute “cscript ospp.vbs /dstatus”. You need to wait for some time while the script is running.

  20. Worked fine for me, thanks. Much easier than deleting and doing a clean install.

Why use it? Simple, some licenses are for multiple PC's so if you forget how many times you used it, and get an invalid message, this app allows you to simply change the key.

  21. Why use it? It's useful to be able to remove the license key for a valid licensed install if you need to repurpose the license or remove valid licensing for a particular user... for instance, they no longer need the license and there's no need to purchase another.
