Office 2010 Trial Extender

Microsoft Office 2010 needs to be activated after 30 days. It can be rearmed 5 times, every rearm gives you additionally 30 days to activate.
If you always rearm it on the last day before it has to be activated that makes a total evaluation time of 6 * 30 = 180 days.
Although the rearm feature was made for corporate users, it cannot be illegal to use it since it's an official feature.
You can use this tool to rearm Office 2010 5 times. Just re-apply once the 30 days are over.
This tool only works with RTM (14.0.4760.1000) versions of Microsoft Office 2010!

  8. Thank you so very much!!! I was dreading doing this thru the command line interface. I cannot tell you how much this helps. And, if I do end up using it, I will _definitely_ make a contribution to your efforts. Take care!

  9. @ safaatech: I don't know about those products.
@ Anonymous: Haven't worked with mono framework so far. Anyway, BETA versions don't support the rearm features since they can be activated (using beta licenses).
@ Edi: No, I think this feature is only integrated in office 2010
@ Anonymouse: I'm glad to see that it helps =)

  30. How can I tell what version has been installed ? I'm afraid I didn't make note of it when I downloaded. Also I noticed an earlier post about using a different version when running XP. Is this still an issue?
    ReplyDelete
  31. Well, there's an easy way to tell which version (build) has been installed: File > Help -> Information about..... -> Version. That version number is what really matters.
    ReplyDelete
  32. Thanks for the tip about finding the version number. So it looks like I have a completely different version installed 14.0.5128.5000. Anybody have a link to the 14.0.4760.1000 version this works with?

You have to rearm, before the trial expires, did you do that?

  40. Hello, the situation you describe is exactly what Microsoft build that feature for. It is legal, this tool just uses a Microsoft feature that was integrated by them

  41. I have the 60 day trial version of Office 2010. I think it is version 14.0.5128.5000 (32 Bit).
I have the option to run a product update version 14.0.5136.5001. Would this program work for me? If not, how would I convert or revert to the version that would?

  42. Just try it ;) Please let me know if it worked

thank you for letting me know. That is a false-positive due to the installer's advertisements. I'll release a new version soon ;)

  46. @ Gaizka: My advertiser just has to check the new installer, won't last long!

  47. Hi I downloaded this Trial extended app-
I received the info that I had rearmed already 5 times-that´s not the case.
Anything, I could do or try?Now today the license has expired...
Btw- I had installed the MS Office Professional Version- which lasted automatically 60 days-maybe the extender won´t work with that version`?

    Thanks for helping comments
    ReplyDelete
  48. @OliverJan: You cannot rearm Office once it is expired, was that the case for you? I do not have any personal experience with those 60 day trials, maybe someone else can comment on that.

  49. It says that my microsoft office has already been rearmed 5 times which is not true, it has only been rearmed once, want to rearm today as it expires tomorrow!
